Izaak Plunkett is a promising new theatre director who has quickly made a mark in his program with a series of notable productions. He debuted with a captivating rendition of "Peter Pan," showcasing his ability to bring classic tales to life. Following this success, he directed "Alice in Wonderland," where he skillfully navigated its whimsical narrative. His most recent work, an adaptation of Edgar Allan Poe's stories, displayed a stark contrast with its darker, gothic elements. Plunkett's range and talent in directing diverse genres signify his rising prominence in the theatre world.
Casey Bennett has been a vital part of the Elko High School Theatre Department for over two and a half years, currently serving as the Technical Director. Known for his leadership and technical expertise, he played an instrumental role in establishing the school’s A/V Systems team and continues to oversee all technical aspects of productions. His responsibilities include the management of lighting and sound systems and ensuring seamless technical support for all performances and events.
Casey also dedicates significant time to mentoring and training students in theater technology, fostering their skills and passion for the craft. His collaborative work with Mrs. Hoskins and other staff members highlights his ability to manage complex schedules and coordinate resources effectively. Beyond his school contributions, Casey serves on the board of directors for the Elko Community Concerts Association and the City of Elko Arts & Cultural Advisory Board, further showcasing his commitment to advancing the arts in the community.
